One of the most innovative stationary bikes of its kind when first released, the Star Trac E Series Upright Bike Generation 1 is an exercise machine that will help keep users fit for many years to come. The bike boasts a collection of features that fitness enthusiasts covet, such as a fully-adjustable seat with over a dozen individual settings; a personal cooling fan to keep riders cool and comfortable during their workout; and pedal straps that provide an awesome level of stability and security, even when the bike is ridden in the standing position. Both lightweight, strong and durable, this new offering from Star Trac weighs just 92 pounds (thanks to its custom aluminum frame), making it very mobile and portable. And despite its light weight, the bike can support riders up to 350 pounds.
The Star Trac E Series Upright Bike Generation 1 comes standard with 10 pre-installed workout profiles, all extremely user friendly. Some of these pre-programmed workouts include the Dynamic Heart Rate monitoring protocol; a Fitness Test; an Auto-Pilot workout regimen, two separate Watts Control workouts; a Warm Up phase; and a Manual setting, for those who prefer to create their own individualized workout plan. The 20 different levels of resistance on the bike exponentially increases the potential number of workout options, meaning no two rides are ever alike.
The heart rate monitoring on the Star Trac E Series Upright Bike Generation 1 is performed in one of two ways: a contact heart rate system and Polar telemetry. Sensors embedded in the grips of the handlebars provide the former type of monitoring, while the optional chest strap provides the latter. Statistics and feedback from this monitoring are displayed on the large LED console, helping users to maintain a certain target heart rate throughout their workout. The display console also provides other encouraging statistics to riders as they pedal, including the number of calories burned during the workout; time, distance traveled, Watts, Resistance, and more.
